Flying Eagle throws all the meat on the grill with its new line of wheels "Sweet Wheels". After years of investment in research and development, they have found the secret formula to make a very versatile urban wheel.
In urban skating, it is necessary to find a balance between cornering grip and being able to make predictable and controllable skids that allow you to brake safely. The Crocanti formula offers this balance especially for high speed skaters.
Crocanti wheels use a different core than Ice Cream, which slightly changes the feel. It's a slightly stiffer wheel which allows for easier entry into the skid and makes them a bit longer. It also offers more control in slalom and wizard tricks.
Although the hardness range is still used in many models, in the latest generation wheels what matters about the wheel is not the hardness, but the chemistry used, the rebound and its operation with the core. That is why both the Ice Cream and the Crocanti are wheels designed for urban use, with good resistance to abrasion, good rebound to maintain speed, and good grip to provide safety.
The difference between them is that the crocanti has a slightly larger core, which makes it stiffer and therefore easier to control when skidding, especially at low speed.
However, Ice Cream is more comfortable.
The crocanti is faster on smooth floors and the Ice Cream on rough floors.
In general, we are talking about very small differences, and you could even combine wheels depending on the setup you are looking for.
Technical specs:
- Bullet profile, shinny finish.
- Hardness: Crocanti (faster in smooth floors, harder than Ice Cream).
- SHR = Super Hight Rebound.
